Artist Statement
‘My art is not attempting to be clever, controversial or political. I paint only what inspires me.
What matters to me most is the ability to convey three dimensional space on a two dimensional surface. Technique is also important, but this must not overwhelm any emotional direction as it is this element that provides the depth to a painting.
I would only hope that the process of creation, being an incredibly personal and sometimes difficult procedure, results in a painting or drawing that provides many years of continued visual pleasure.’
